Windows

We officially support devices using Windows 10 and 11.

Android

Chromebook

- If you haven't already, sign in to your Chromebook.

- Click the status area, where your account picture appears.

- Click Settings.

- In the Internet connection section, click Add connection.

- Click Add OpenVPN / L2TP.

- Enter the hostname found on your dashboard for the Server hostname.

- Enter anything you like for the Service name.

- Make sure Provider type is L2TP/IPSec + pre-shared key.

- Enter the pre-shared key found on your dashboard for the Pre-shared key.

- Enter the username found on your dashboard for the Username.

- Enter the password found on your dashboard for the Password.

- Click Connect.

iPhone

- Go to Settings -> General -> VPN.

- Tap Add VPN Configuration....

- Tap Type. Select L2TP and go back.

- Tap Description and enter anything you like.

- Tap Server and enter the hostname found on your dashboard.

- Make sure "RSA SecurID" is disabled

- Tap Account and enter the username found on your dashboard.

- Tap Password and enter the password found on your dashboard.

- Tap Secret and enter the pre-shared secret found your dashboard.

- You can choose if you want "Send All Traffic" on or off.
"Send all traffic" will send every bit of data through Vortire which is recommended.

- You can ignore any proxy settings. Leave them "Off"

- Tap Done.

- Slide the VPN switch ON.

Your iPhone VPN configuration should look like this:

Mac

1- In the Apple menu, select System Preferences.

2- Click the Network icon.

3- Click the "+" icon in the lower left corner to create a new network interface.

4- In the Interface drop-down list, select VPN.

5- From the VPN Type drop-down list, select L2TP over IPSec.

6- In the Service Name text box, type a name for this VPN connection, such as "L2TP Vortire".

7- Click Create.

8- In the Server Address text box, type the hostname found on your dashboard.

9- In the Account Name text box, type your user name as it appears on your dashboard.

10- Click Authentication Settings.

11- In the Password text box, type the password found on your dashboard.

12- In the Shared Secret text box, type the pre-shared key found on your dashboard.

13- Click Apply to save the configuration changes.

Other devices

We don't officially support some Linux distributions

Unfortunately, due to the nature of Linux having many different variations, we don't officially support Vortire on some Linux distributons.

You can still use our VPN on your Linux device but your experience may vary.

Please search "How to setup a L2TP/IPSEC PSK VPN on *your distributon*" to see if any tutorials exist.

You can find your hostname, username, password and pre-shared key on your dashboard.

We don't officially support FireTV Sticks

Due to the nature of FireTV sticks, we don't and cannot support them. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
